Strengthening the rights of persons with disabilities in Bukavu, DR Congo. Phase I

This initiative has succeeded in providing electricity to the hospitalization area, operating room and prosthetics and sewing workshops of the Heri Kwetu Center for people with Functional Diversity. With the work carried out, the Center has a safe and affordable electricity supply based on photovoltaic solar energy, which improves health care qualitatively and quantitatively since there are no more power cuts, the services provided can be carried out for a longer period of time and, with the commissioning of the facilities, the emission of polluting gases from the diesel generator, which no longer needs to be used, has been eliminated.
